John Clay (John Gregory Clay) was born on May 1, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at Northwest (St. Louis, MO), Clay attended the University of Missouri. Clay made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Los Angeles Raiders. He played for the San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Raiders over the course of his 2 year career.
