John Christensen (John Lawrence Christensen) was born on September 15, 1960 in Downey, California. He made his Major League debut on September 13, 1984 for the New York Mets. In 1987, his rookie year, he hit .242 with 2 home runs and 12 RBI. Christensen played for the New York Mets, Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins over the course of his 4 year career.
