John Carrell (John Harvey Carrell) was born on December 19, 1942 in Amarillo, Texas. After going to high school at Lovington (MN), Carrell attended New Mexico Military Institute Junior College and Texas Technical University. Carrell made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
