Born on February 9, 1970 in Durango, Colorado, John Burke (John C. Burke) played for the Colorado Rockies for his entire 2 year career. Burke broke into the bigs on August 13, 1996 with the Colorado Rockies, and put up a 6.56 ERA in 59 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.
