John Butcher

Born on March 8, 1957 in Glendale, California, John Butcher (John Daniel Butcher) played for the Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 7 year career. Butcher broke into the bigs on September 8, 1980 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 4.87 ERA in 94.1 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.
Most people believe that John Butcher's best season was 1984, when he posted a 3.44 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 83 batters.
