Born on October 15, 1964 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, John Barfield (John David Barfield) played for the Texas Rangers for his entire 3 year career. Barfield broke into the bigs on September 7, 1989 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 4.54 ERA in 83.1 innings pitched in 1991, his rookie year.
