John Barefield (John Glenn Barefield) was born on March 23, 1955 in Victoria, Texas. After going to high school at Stroman (Victoria, TX), Barefield attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University-Kingsville. Barefield made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1979 was John Barefield's best year.
