John Ayers (John Milton Ayers) was born on April 14, 1953 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. After going to high school at Carrizo Springs (TX), Ayers attended the University of Texas and West Texas A&M University. Ayers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos over the course of his 11 year career.
