John Atz (Jacob Henry Atz) was born on July 1, 1879 in Washington, D.C.. He made his Major League debut on September 24, 1902 for the Washington Senators. In 1908, his rookie year, he hit .194 with 0 home runs and 27 RBI. Atz played for the Washington Senators and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 4 year career.
