John Amberg (John McCaslin Amberg) was born on March 6, 1929 in Johnson County, Kansas. After going to high school at Shawnee Mission (KS), Amberg attended the University of Kansas. Amberg made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1951 was John Amberg's best year, as he picked off 3 passes.
