John Alderton (John Reber Alderton) was born on September 5, 1931. After going to high school at Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD), Alderton attended the University of Maryland. Alderton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
