Born on July 11, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joey McLaughlin (Joey Richard McLaughlin) played for the Atlanta Braves, Toronto Blue Jays and Texas Rangers over the course of his 7 year career. McLaughlin broke into the bigs on June 11, 1977 with the Atlanta Braves, and put up a 2.48 ERA in 69 innings pitched in 1979, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Joey McLaughlin's best season was 1982, when he posted a 3.21 ERA.
