Born on September 9, 1970 in Statesboro, Georgia, Joey Hamilton (Johns Joseph Hamilton) played for the San Diego Padres, Toronto Blue Jays and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 10 year career. Hamilton broke into the bigs on May 24, 1994 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 2.98 ERA in 108.2 innings pitched in 1994, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Joey Hamilton's best season was 1996, when he posted a 4.17 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 184 batters.
