Joey Gathright (Joey Renard Gathright) was born on April 27, 1981 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on June 25, 2004 for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. In 2005, his rookie year, he hit .276 with 0 home runs and 13 RBI. Gathright played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 3 year career.
