Joey Clinkscales (William Joseph Clinkscales) was born on May 21, 1964 in Asheville, South Carolina. After going to high school at Austin-East (Knoxville, TN), Clinkscales attended the University of Tennessee. Clinkscales made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1987 was Joey Clinkscales's best year.
