Joel Skinner (Joel Patrick Skinner) was born on February 21, 1961 in La Jolla, California. He made his Major League debut on June 12, 1983 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1986, his rookie year, he hit .232 with 5 home runs and 37 RBI. Skinner played for the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 9 year career.
