Joel Hitt (Joel Reuben Hitt, Jr.) was born on December 30, 1916 in Clinton, Mississippi. After going to high school at Clinton (MS), Hitt attended Mississippi College. Hitt made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Cleveland Rams. He played for the Cleveland Rams for his entire 1 year career.
