Joe Wilhoit (Joseph William Wilhoit) was born on December 20, 1885 in Hiawatha, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on April 12, 1916 for the Boston Braves. In 1916, his rookie year, he hit .230 with 2 home runs and 38 RBI. Wilhoit played for the Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Giants and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 4 year career.
