Joe Wiehl (Joseph John Wiehl) was born on January 30, 1910 in Coal Center, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Charleroi (PA), Wiehl attended Duquesne University and Washington & Jefferson College. Wiehl made his professional debut in the NFL in 1935 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 1 year career.
