Joe Wellborn (Joseph Holler Wellborn) was born on June 3, 1944 in Greenwood, Mississippi. After going to high school at St. Thomas (Houston,TX), Wellborn attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. Wellborn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
