Joe Tipton

Joe Tipton (Joe Hicks Tipton) was born on February 18, 1922 in McCaysville, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on May 2, 1948 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1949, his rookie year, he hit .204 with 3 home runs and 19 RBI. Tipton played for the Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Athletics and Washington Senators over the course of his 7 year career.
