Joe Tinker (Joseph Bert Tinker) was born on July 27, 1880 in Muscotah, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1902 for the Chicago Cubs. In 1902, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 2 home runs and 54 RBI. Tinker played for the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Whales over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Joe Tinker's best season was 1908, when he stole 30 bases and knocked in 68 runs.
