Joe Taylor (Joe Cephus Taylor) was born on March 2, 1926 in Chapman, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on August 26, 1954 for the Philadelphia Athletics. Taylor played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 4 year career.
