Joe Taffoni (Joseph Taffoni) was born on March 27, 1945 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Carmichaels (PA), Taffoni attended the University of Tennessee-Martin and West Virginia University. Taffoni made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year career.
