Joe Sweet (Joseph Lamar Sweet) was born on July 5, 1948 in Lakeland, Florida. After going to high school at Rochelle (Lakeland, FL), Sweet attended Tennessee State University. Sweet made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that 1975 was Joe Sweet's best year.
