Joe Sutton (Joseph Sutton) was born on April 26, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Northeast Catholic (Philadelphia, PA), Sutton attended Temple University. Sutton made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1949 with the Buffalo Bills. He played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Buffalo Bills the entire time. Sutton also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles the entire time.
Most people believe that 1950 was Joe Sutton's best year, as he picked off 8 passes.
