Joe Stepanek (Joseph Paul Stepanek) was born on November 6, 1963 in Tama, Iowa. After going to high school at St. Regis (Cedar Rapids, IA), Stepanek attended the University of Minnesota and Waldorf College. Stepanek made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 1 year career.
