Joe Staley (born August 30, 1984) is currently an offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers. He was selected 28th overall out of Central Michigan University. The 49ers traded their first round pick in 2008 for Staley before the Baltimore Ravens selected with the 29th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft with New England. Most scouts evaluated Staley going to the Ravens, but that didn't happen. He was the second 49er taken in the draft to linebacker Patrick Willis.
