Joe Signaigo (Joseph Salvatore Signaigo) was born on February 9, 1923 in Memphis, Tennessee. After going to high school at Catholic (Memphis, TN), Signaigo attended the University of Notre Dame. Signaigo made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the New York Yankees. He played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time. Signaigo also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the New York Yanks the entire time.

Most people believe that 1950 was Joe Signaigo's best year.
