Joe Scudero (Joseph Andrew Scudero) was born on July 2, 1930 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Mission (San Francisco, CA), Scudero attended the University of San Francisco. Scudero made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1955 was Joe Scudero's best year, as he picked off 5 passes, ran back a punt for a touchdown, had 699 kick return yards and ran back a kickoff for a touchdown.
