Joe Sargent (Joseph Alexander Sargent) was born on September 24, 1893 in Rochester, New York. He made his Major League debut on April 27, 1921 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1921, his rookie year, he hit .253 with 2 home runs and 22 RBI. Sargent played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 1 year career.
