Joe Quinn (Joseph J. Quinn) was born on December 25, 1864 in Sydney, Australia. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1884 for the St. Louis Maroons. In 1884, his rookie year, he hit .270 with 0 home runs and 0 RBI. Quinn played for the St. Louis Maroons, Boston Beaneaters, Boston Reds, St. Louis Perfectos, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Spiders, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Washington Senators over the course of his 17 year career.

Most people believe that Joe Quinn's best season was 1890, when he stole 29 bases, hit for a .301 average and knocked in 82 runs.
