Born on October 7, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri, Joe Presko (Joseph Edward Presko) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 6 year career. Presko broke into the bigs on May 3, 1951 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.45 ERA in 88.2 innings pitched in 1951, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Joe Presko's best season was 1951, when he posted a 3.45 ERA.
