Joe Pittman (Joseph Wayne Pittman) was born on January 1, 1954 in Houston, Texas. He made his Major League debut on April 25, 1981 for the Houston Astros. In 1981, his rookie year, he hit .281 with 0 home runs and 7 RBI. Pittman played for the Houston Astros, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 3 year career.
