Joe Pignatano (Joseph Benjamin Pignatano) was born on August 4, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York. He made his Major League debut on April 28, 1957 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1958, his rookie year, he hit .218 with 9 home runs and 17 RBI. Pignatano played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Kansas City Athletics, San Francisco Giants and New York Mets over the course of his 6 year career.
