Joe Pierre (Joseph Nick Pierre) was born on October 15, 1920 in South Fork, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Windber (PA), Pierre attended the University of Pittsburgh. Pierre made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 1 year career.
