Joe Ostrowski

Born on November 15, 1916 in West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Joe Ostrowski (Joseph Paul Ostrowski) played for the St. Louis Browns and New York Yankees over the course of his 5 year career. Ostrowski broke into the bigs on July 18, 1948 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 5.97 ERA in 78.1 innings pitched in 1948, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Joe Ostrowski's best season was 1951, when he posted a 3.49 ERA.
