Joe Mihal (Joseph Mihal) was born on April 2, 1916 in Homestead, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Emerson (Gary, IN), Mihal attended Purdue University. Mihal made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time. Mihal also played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the Chicago Rockets and Los Angeles Dons over the course of his 2 year AAFC career.
