Born on May 5, 1933 in Johnson City, Tennessee, Joe McClain (Joseph Fred McClain) played for the Washington Senators for his entire 2 year career. McClain broke into the bigs on April 14, 1961 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 3.86 ERA in 212 innings pitched in 1961, his rookie year.
