Joe Manzo (Joseph M. Manzo) was born on February 3, 1919 in Medford, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Medford (MA), Manzo attended Boston College. Manzo made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
