Joe Kurth (Joseph James Kurth) was born on March 27, 1914 in Madison, Wisconsin. After going to high school at East (Madison, WI), Kurth attended the University of Notre Dame and the University of Wisconsin. Kurth made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Green Bay Packers for his entire 2 year career.
