Born on February 15, 1959 in Lackawanna, New York, Joe Hesketh (Joseph Thomas Hesketh) played for the Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 11 year career. Hesketh broke into the bigs on August 7, 1984 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 2.49 ERA in 155.1 innings pitched in 1985, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Joe Hesketh's best season was 1985, when he posted a 2.49 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 113 batters.
