Joe Heap (Joseph Lawrence Heap) was born on October 26, 1931 in Albita Springs, Louisiana. After going to high school at Holy Cross (New Orleans, LA), Heap attended the University of Notre Dame. Heap made his professional debut in the NFL in 1955 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
