Joe Greene (Charles Edward Greene) was born on September 24, 1946 in Elgin, Texas. After going to high school at Dunbar (Temple, TX), Greene attended the University of North Texas. Greene made his professional debut in the NFL in 1969 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for his entire 13 year career.
Most people believe that 1974 was Joe Greene's best year, as he recovered 4 opponents fumbles.
