Joe Golding (Joseph G. Golding, Jr.) was born on February 26, 1921 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Eufaula (OK), Golding attended the University of Oklahoma. Golding made his professional debut in the NFL in 1947 with the Boston Yanks. He played for the Boston Yanks, New York Yanks and New York Bulldogs over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Joe Golding's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes, picked off 4 passes and ran back 2 interceptions for touchdowns.
