Joe Goebel (Joseph Robert Goebel) was born on December 12, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After going to high school at Midland (TX), Goebel attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Goebel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers for his entire 1 year career.
