Joe Ginsberg (Myron Nathan Ginsberg) was born on October 11, 1926 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 15, 1948 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1951, his rookie year, he hit .260 with 8 home runs and 37 RBI. Ginsberg played for the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox and New York Mets over the course of his 13 year career.
