Joe Gibson (William Joseph Gibson) was born on June 28, 1919 in Nocona, Texas. Gibson attended the University of Tulsa. Gibson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Cleveland Rams. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Cleveland Rams and Washington Redskins over the course of his 3 year NFL career.Gibson also played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1942 was Joe Gibson's best year.
