Joe Gedeon (Elmer Joseph Gedeon) was born on December 5, 1893 in Sacramento, California. He made his Major League debut on May 13, 1913 for the Washington Senators. In 1916, his rookie year, he hit .211 with 0 home runs and 27 RBI. Gedeon played for the Washington Senators, New York Yankees and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that Joe Gedeon's best season was 1920, when he hit for a .292 average and knocked in 61 runs.
