Joe Domnanovich (Joseph John Domnanovich) was born on March 18, 1921 in South Bend, Indiana. After going to high school at Riley (South Bend, IN), Domnanovich attended the University of Alabama. Domnanovich made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Boston Yanks. He played for the Boston Yanks, New York Yanks and New York Bulldogs over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1948 was Joe Domnanovich's best year, as he recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
